What Customers Say About Sony Ericsson W300i Unlocked Cell Phone with MP3/Video Player, Memory Stick Micro Slot--U.S. Version with Warranty (Shadow Black):

My hands are relatively large, so this may not be a problem for some users. The phone's features and performance are fine, but I have a major issue with the keypad design. Becuse of the flush, round, overlapping keypad buttons, I constantly misdial this phone, and find it near impossible to dial accurately one-handed. I do not think this isssue is due to lack of manual dexterity on my part, as my prior phone was a Motorola with a standard keypad design, and I never had a problem with dialing. If you're interested in this phone, especially if your hands/fingers are larger than average, I encourage you to test dial before buying.

The orange text behind the black background is great for reading the phone on a sunny day. Also I can chop up my mp3s and create my own ring tones.

Cnet.com rated it well, but like any other phone there were some complaints. I personally love it.

I had to replace my Motorola Razr and after doing some research decided to go with this phone. It will last for a couple of days with average use.

So far I have had no issues with it after owning it for five months. I use it as a cell phone and my favorite thing about it is the battery life.

While I don't use it as an mp3 player the sound quality is pretty good on it overall. It is a wonderful phone and I wish I would have discovered Sony phones earlier.

The Bluetooth also seems to work beyond the 30 ft range.+ I've experienced better reception and fewer dropped calls with this phone versus my last phone.- The keys are extremely hard to find reliably especially if you have big fingers like me. I've had my W300i now for about 3 months. I'm always hitting mulitple keys accidentally.- Turning on the speakerphone during a call is at least a three step process. Here's my list of positives and negatives of this phone.+ Great Bluetooth pairing and reception. It was very easy to figure out and pair my first ever Bluetooth device with this phone. My old phone was just one key. This is stupid.+ Very lightweight.- Did not come with an English manual and shipping company still has not provided one in spite of saying they would months ago.

Me and my wife bought two SONY phones which has the same interface and the contact broke in 6 months on one of the phones. (LOOK AT THEIR CHARGING INTERFACE CLOSELY AND YOU PROBABLY DON'T HAVE TO READ THE REST OF THE REVIEW). Even the phone with latest and greatest of features won't last for more than 6 months because of a very simple flaw in their design. Imagine someone gave you a Macbook Air with 2 spare batteries but you cannot charge the battery.

When you put the phone on a charger, the battery charges through a pin-point contact. I am giving this phone and other SONY ERICSSON MODELS a BIG ZERO STAR not because it has any functional flaw in terms of lost signals, voice quality, wifi features etc. Luckily both the phones were same so we managed to swap the battery each night before we got a new phone. If any sane person reads and understands this review he will NOT BUY SONY ERICCSSON phones which have this NOVEL and CRAPPY interface. Its literally a pin-point contact.

There is no way out of this dead end except throwing that phone because the battery is perfect but you CANNOT CHARGE it. I am a big fan of SONY and 90% of all electronic items in my house is SONY, but this is ridiculous. WITHIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS YOU WONT BE ABLE TO CHARGE IT. I don't know what the bozos at SONY were thinking when they designed this phone. After a couple of months the contact becomes dysfunctional as you would expect from such a contact.

Compare it to the charging connector you get on other phones. And if that is not enough, they have the same flaky interface for transferring data, or connecting their head phone. The problem is NOBODY will look at this flaw when buying a cell-phone because its so rare that you cannot charge your cell phone even though the battery is fine.

I've only bought two phones for myself and both of them are still going strong. My very first cell phone was a Nokia 6010. The video is small and not very clear once it's been transferred to the computer.

My only complaint would be the camera. I found a guy on ebay who sells the covers and backs in hot pink, lime green, cobalt blue, turquoise, etc.nice. The Sony Ericsson W300i is terrific for texting and talking because of great signal reception and ease of use.

I love this phone though and love the fact that I can change the color of the black part to pretty much any color i want. Overall, it takes pretty good pics, but they are grainy when transferred to the computer. Same with the video recording.

I hope that the next phone I get does as well as my first two have. It didn't do much, but it served it's purpose and I now consider it the tank of cell phones because it's still working and I keep it as a back up.
